Optimization concept
Within the optimization concept, I planned several changes that need to be done on the website including:
Restructuring Web Architecture: Integrate an initial good structure aimed to ensure consistent web development using fs, an optimized style guide and 200 predefined classes instead of the 2300 classes the website was built with at the beginning of the project.
Client-Focused Webdevelopment: Development of a custom Seatti website builder allowing website changes and page creation to be done without a developer incl. components documentation for all components (modules) that replace old ones.
Objectives include optimizing SEO, enhancing user flow, and integrating several further features.
The coworking & first results
The makeover was implemented in stages based on the former defined concept and with the help of Scrum. First, a module plan was created for the entire website so that all pages could be planned in reusable modules (Webflow components).
Next, key pages or pages requiring changes were redeveloped in modules. Along the redevelopment, efforts were also focused on improving the user flow, the overall website architecture, bug fixes and various integrations.
After two months into the project, 24 newly developed modules had been created in different variations. By the third month, Seatti was able to create its first site independently using the modules, supported by extensive documentation and training sessions.
Current Update
Eight months after the project began, nearly 80% of the 200-page website has been redeveloped and optimized. Besides redevelopment, I systematically reduced website costs, optimized SEO and user flows, conducted training sessions, implemented a web design rebranding, and introduced an optimized design-to-development process. I also improved the website translation process, resulting in an enhanced English version for future markets.
Seatti plans to continue collaborating with me weekly to complete the optimization concept and start new projects.
